地球已成了一个村，这是我们这一代人对一个高速运转状态导至世界空间距离浓缩的一个直觉反应，互联网的发明催生了世界各民族文化的大融合；当今世界，文化、思想、观念相互交流已成一新的世界潮流，这潮流浩浩荡荡，势不可挡。
We are living in a global village. This is an intuitive response we have to the space and distance concentration of the world running at a high speed. With the invention of Internet, the great cultural integration of different nations throughout the world has been promoted. In today’s world, the exchange of cultures, ideas and concepts has become a new trend of world, a trend which cannot be halted.
地球犹如一个村，互联网就象村中的大街小巷，人们在村中自由穿行，交流各自几秒钟前的故事；各种文化、思想、观念、信息可实现即时无障碍交流融汇，交流与融汇成为所有文化存在与优化的状态和选择；一个以互联网为技术力量和联结纽带的地球时代正在形成。
The Earth is like a global village, and Internet is just like the streets and alleys in this village, through which, our people travel in the village freely and communicate with each other on our stories happened several minutes ago; the various cultures, ideas, concepts and information can realize the real-time and barrier-free communication and integration, and communication and integration have become the status and selection of existence and optimization of all cultures; and an era of Earth with Internet as technical force and linkage is taking shape.
艺术是时代变化的风向标，视觉艺术更是以其形态与表现的可见性强烈地预示着时代的变迁；视觉艺术在艺术家族中的最大优势是把看不见的思想、观念、情感转化成鲜明的视觉形态；这形态不仅仅预示和透露着艺术自身，更是艺术的母体整个文化变迁的一个浓缩反映。
Art is the wind value of time changes, and visual art shows a strong prediction of changing times with the visibility of its form and representation; the greatest advantage of visual art in the art family is that, it can transform the invisible ideas, concepts and feelings into a distinctive visual form; and this form predicts and reveals the art itself, and also reflects the concentration of changes of the entire culture, the mother of arts.
视觉艺术以自身表达的特性与功能努力地呼应着这个时代，互融互通的观念与表达早已在各个艺术门类中通行；观念艺术、装置艺术、行为艺术、影像等新艺术形态的产生意味着视觉艺术既打通了传统门类的围墙，也意味着艺术表达已跨越了视觉艺术的边界；走向了更大的世界。
Visual art tries its best to respond to this era with its self-expression feature and function, and the concept of integration and interconnection has already become general in different classes of arts before; the appearance of conceptual art, installation art, performance art, image and other new art forms indicates that visual art has broken through the enclosure of traditional classes of arts, and also that artistic expression has spanned the boundary of visual art, and led to a bigger world.
视觉艺术表达门类与边界的突破，必然催生出一个全新的呈现与表演平台；一个包容着各种不同艺术形态、一个呼应着交流与融汇的策展时代已经来临。
With the breakthrough in expression classification and boundary of visual art, a brand-new presentation and performance platform will appear inevitably; an era of exhibition containing various art forms and responding to exchange and integration has come.
此次中外视觉艺术(湖南）展，集汇了十多个文化艺术最发达国家的二十位艺术家作品，从各种不同表现方式的作品里可窥见不同地域、不同文化传统中的艺术家们对我们这个方方面面都已经进入融合状态的新时代的一种回应。
In the Chinese and Foreign Visual Arts (Hunan) Exhibition this time, the works of 20 artists from more than 10 countries mostly developed in culture and art are collected. From these works with different expression forms, we can get a glimpse of the response of artists from different regions and different cultural traditions to this new era in fusion state in all aspects.

德妮丝：1996年获博克斯希尔技术与继续教育造型艺术专业文凭；1999年皇家墨尔本理工大学艺术学士；2002年皇家墨尔本理工大学美术硕士。职业画家。Denise Keele-Bedford: She obtained diploma of plastic art major in Box Hill Institute of Technical and Further Education in 1996, bachelor of art in Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in 1999 and art master in Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in 2002. She is a professional painter.
吉拉尔·布里奥（法国）
Girar Bourriau(France)
吉拉尔·布里奥：1934年出生于法国朗瓦莱。曾任教于巴黎弗罗绍学院，担任过布列塔尼团体“三十的战斗”秘书长，获得过“紫罗兰勋章/Signatures”奖。在法国的雷恩、布雷斯特、洛里昂、瓦讷、圣马洛、克莱蒙费朗、巴黎、里尔等城市及著名画廊“皮埃尔的船艺术中心”举办过展览。
Girar Bourriau: Born in Lanvallay in France in 1934. He once gave lessons in Paris Frochot College, served as secretary-general of Thirty’s Fight of Bretagne Team and obtained award of Violet Medal/ Signatures. He has held exhibitions in cities of Rennes, Brest, Lorient, Vannes, Saint Malo, Clermont-Ferrand, Paris and Lille and Pierre’s Boat Art Center, a famous gallery.

Leonida De Filippi: Famous Italian artist. He was born in 1969. Now he lives and works in Milan. As a professor in Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, he teaches Eextramedial technology, fashion and design, visual communication, costume designing, sculpture/device art. He graduated from Quito Central Academy of Fine Arts in Ecuador in 1991, learned Chinese in Beijing Language and Culture University from 1995 to 1996, researched oleograph in Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing from 1996 to 1997, learned traditional Chinese woodcut in Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing from 1997 to 1999 and obtained master degree. As a professional painter, he travels around many countries and collects artistic works of many countries such as China, America, Sweden, Spain, Mexico, Philippines, England, France, Ecuador, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, India and Netherlands.

莫妮卡：当代艺术家、70后重要诗人。从事绘画、观念摄影、诗歌等的创作。现工作和生活于北京、济南。先后参加 “诗性中国”当代水墨研究展、“荷马礼赞”艺术苏州当代艺术展、吴冠中纪念馆全国油画展、中国当代艺术文献展、“呼吸”山东当代艺术大展，“汇合”中外艺术家联展等国内外重要学术活动。
Monika Lin: Born in San Francisco Bay Area of America. She obtained bachelor degree of arts in Mills College in Auckland and master degree of arts in School of Visual Artsin New York. Her artistic creation covers writing, painting, craft, animation and sculpture. She tries to seek the meaning of cultural construction in some social themes. Her works have been exhibited in Paris, London, New York, Beijing and Shanghai. She has executed resident projects in Los Angeles, New York, India and Jingdezhen. She held exhibition, lecture and exhibition planning in School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Kansas City and Los Angeles in 2010 and served assistant professor of art in NYU Shanghai. She has settled in Shanghai from 2006 and works on art education art exhibition planning.

瑞莲：现旅居北京。出生于都柏林。1989年毕业于北爱尔兰阿尔斯特大学乔丹校区生物医学专业，理学硕士。作品被阿联酋皇室、迪拜旅游商贸部、阿联酋环保集团、爱尔兰驻阿联酋阿布扎比大使馆、爱尔兰驻华大使馆（北京）、张家界京武铂尔曼酒店（中国）、万柳书院（北京）等机构或私人收藏。

森古尔德·古德蒙德森：1942年生于冰岛雷克雅未克。现在工作和生活于荷兰、冰岛、瑞典和中国。 曾在1960至1963年期间就读于冰岛工艺美术大学，此后在哈勒姆的Academic ’63和Ateliers ’63学习。作品曾在世界各地展出，包括中国、英国、芬兰、冰岛、荷兰、德国和瑞典。
Sigurdur Gudmundsson: Born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1942. Now he works and lives in Netherlands, Iceland, Sweden and China. He studied in Industrial Art University of Iceland from 1960 to 1963. Then he studied in Academic ’63 and Ateliers ’63 in Haarlem. His works have been exhibited in countries such as China, England, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Germany and Sweden.

Sigurdur Gudmundsson: Born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1942. Now he works and lives in Netherlands, Iceland, Sweden and China. He studied in Industrial Art University of Iceland from 1960 to 1963. Then he studied in Academic ’63 and Ateliers ’63 in Haarlem. His works have been exhibited in countries such as China, England, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Germany and Sweden.

史蒂文生·沃恩：出生于美国明尼苏达洲。他擅长用颜料来记录水的语言，深受日本和中国的哲学思想影响，1988年在韩国、台湾、印度尼西亚、中国创建陶艺工作室，曾为潮州和德化两个城市的瓷器艺术发展做出卓越贡献并被陶瓷学院授予荣誉教授；另外，他还是中央美术学院的外聘教授。
